A mobile health assistant for pet owners that stores every medical record in one place, generates a shareable vet report with a single tap, and offers AI-powered guidance the moment an owner needs it.
Intro
Dr. Pet started with a clear goal. Pet owners needed more than scattered notes and paper files — they needed a single place to hold their pet's medical history and instant access to it during emergencies or vet visits. We partnered to build a mobile app that centralizes health records, generates a shareable report in seconds, and gives owners an always-available AI Vet Chat for urgent questions and everyday concerns.
Solution
We designed an onboarding flow that collects the pet's age, breed, known conditions, recent symptoms, vaccination status, and preferred veterinarian, using these details to personalize reminders, educational content, and health insights from day one. Every pet gets a Digital Health Passport that holds test results, prescriptions, vaccination cards, and past treatments in one profile, with owners able to add multiple pets after onboarding. When something feels urgent, the app routes owners straight into an AI Vet Chat that responds over text or voice, including recordings of the pet's sounds, and a dedicated SOS mode starts that same conversation with a pre-structured prompt from the home screen's emergency banner.
Features
The One Tap Vet Report turns current medications, recent test results, weight data, and reported symptoms into a shareable PDF generated through the LLM, with a plain-text fallback ready in case PDF generation proves unreliable during development. Reminders are created with a title, date, and optional recurrence, then pushed directly into the device's calendar through the native Add to Calendar action, so alerts stay native and the app itself carries no internal calendar. Educational Resources turns each pet's onboarding details into a personalized list of 15 to 20 suggested questions, and selecting one produces 5 to 6 summarized outlines that expand into a full explanation on tap, creating a learning experience that adapts to the pet's specific profile. The app integrates Adapty for subscription and A/B testing and Firebase for backend infrastructure, analytics, and data storage, alongside Adjust, Meta, and a Review Optimizer for performance tracking and growth.
Result
Dr. Pet launched as an MVP built to validate the concept with early users, giving pet owners a calmer way to stay organized between checkups and prepared for the moments that can't wait. Built on Flutter for both iOS and Android, the app continues to grow as a trusted digital health assistant for pet owners who want every record, reminder, and answer in one place.
