Short Reels was made for viewers who want quick, story-based videos they can watch anywhere. The client wanted a mobile app that makes watching short dramas simple, fast, and engaging. We designed an experience that starts instantly and keeps new stories easy to find.
Features
Short Reels presents short drama stories inspired by real life. Each episode lasts only a few minutes and can be continued later without losing progress. The player remembers where you stopped and resumes instantly. New episodes appear often, keeping the watching experience fresh and interesting.
Challenge
Short-drama apps lose viewers when playback starts slow or feels confusing. Fragmented monetization also frustrates newcomers. We cut steps before play, made continuation options obvious, and used plain pricing. We kept sessions moving without long locks, while still supporting a fair model for frequent watching.
Result
The app launched on iOS and Android and quickly gained active daily viewers. Early updates improved video speed, playback stability, and access flow.
